Newspapers in Kashmir today resumed publication after remaining shut for four days in protest against alleged curbs on the media in the wake of last Tuesday's violence.Media organisations decided to resume publication after an assurance from the state government yesterday that the curfew passes issued to journalists would be duly entertained by the security agencies.Curfew was lifted yesterday and prohibitory orders imposed therafter in Srinagar and other major towns of the Valley to maintain law and order.Publication of newspapers was suspended on July 8 following cancellation of curfew passes by the state government.
