The Gujarat high court advocates' association has announced its new managing committee after the election held on Thursday. After the election, Yatin Oza was announced as the president of the association and this would be his 12th term.

Oza won the post uncontested. The officials further stated that in the election out of 1101, 796 advocates exercised their rights. Dhirendra Mehta was appointed as the returning officer by the managing committee in its meeting held on April 15, 2011.

The voting was held in the ladies room of GHAA on Thursday between 11.30am to 5.15pm. The results were announced late in the night.

Announcing the new committee the officials stated that advocate Pitamber Abichandani was elected as vice-president.  Advocate Ashok Prajapati was elected as general secretary and advocate Hukumsingh as joint secretary.

Advocate Bhavyesh Mankand won the treasurer's post. Apart from that Pratik Barot, Jiten Buddhbhatti, Harshil Dholakia, Punam Gadhvi, Bhavik Pandya, Anand Sharma, Atit Thakor, Nilkanth Trivedi, Mukesh Vaidya and Hiral Vyas were elected as the members of the committee.
