New Delhi: Uber driver shot dead by passengers

In a shocking incident, an Uber driver was killed by a pair of teen passengers in the national capital. The accused have been currently detained and are being questioned. 

The incident happened on Wednesday afternoon. The driver got involved in an argument with the passengers and soon the altercation went out of hand.  The teenagers shot the Uber driver, identified as Kuldeep near Najafgarh in Delhi. 

The accused soon fled after the incident. The driver was shot fatally in the head and the chest. Later police was informed about the incident. Police have identified the suspects after accessing Uber's data. 

Uber in a statement later said, "Our thoughts are with the family of our driver-partner, the victim of this mindless violence. We have pro-actively shared details with the police to assist them with their investigation."
