New COVID-19 guideline released for May, lockdown like strict restrictions to remain in these states

Central Government on Thursday directed the States and Union Territories to issue guidelines to implement coronavirus infection prevention measures.

The second wave of COVID-19 in the country has taken a gigantic form and now more than three lakh cases are coming up every day. In view of this, the Central Government on Thursday directed the States and Union Territories to issue guidelines to implement coronavirus infection prevention measures in the districts and areas with high prevalence and also asked to identify the districts where either the positivity rate was more than 10% in the last one week or where more than 60% of the beds are filled in the hospitals.

Lockdown like strictness in these states

Even before the Central government issued guidelines for the COVID-19 pandemic, many states have imposed several stringent restrictions, which are similar to lockdowns. Among these, several states including UP, Bihar, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu have issued new guidelines for lockdown and night curfew for the safety of the people.

Mini lockdown till May 15 in Maharashtra

Mini-lockdown has been extended to prevent the COVID-19 pandemic in Maharashtra. On Thursday, State Chief Secretary Sitaram Kunte issued an order in this regard. He said that the Maharashtra government has extended the restrictions like lockdown till May 15 to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the state.

Three days lockdown in Uttar Pradesh

Looking at the pace at which the coronavirus infection is spreading in UP, the weekend lockdown has been increased by one day. Now the lockdown will be here from 8 pm on Friday night to 7 am on Tuesday. During this period, only essential services such as medical shops, clinics, hospitals, milk and vegetable shops will be allowed. Apart from this, night curfew is also applicable in all districts of UP from 8 pm to 7 am.

Shops will be closed from 4 pm in Bihar

In Bihar, the Nitish Kumar government has issued new guidelines on Wednesday amid the increasing infection of COVID-19, according to which, there will be a night curfew from 6 pm in the evening to 6 am in the morning, during which Section 144 will be imposed in the entire state. With this, now only 50 people will be able to attend the wedding ceremony, while only 20 people will be able to attend a funeral.

Weekend curfew in Rajasthan from 6 pm to 5 am

From last week in Rajasthan, once again the Gehlot government announced the weekend curfew, which will remain in full force from 6 pm on Friday till 5 am on Monday. During this time the markets will be completely closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Many new restrictions have also been added to the new guidelines issued by the government.

Lockdown till May 3 in 5 cities of MP including Bhopal

In Madhya Pradesh, along with Bhopal, the restrictions have been increased in Chhindwara, Ratlam, Sagar, and Jabalpur. Restrictions like lockdown will continue in Bhopal till May 3. At the same time, in Chhindwara, Ratlam, Sagar, and Jabalpur, this ban will remain till May 1.

Full lockdown on Sunday, night curfew increased in Tamil Nadu

The Tamil Nadu government has increased the night curfew in the state due to the rapidly growing coronavirus infection and has announced a full lockdown on Sunday i.e. May 2. The Tamil Nadu government has extended the full lockdown on Sunday and the night curfew till further orders on all days. The night curfew will be implemented in the entire state from 10 pm to 4am till further orders.
