The Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) is expected to announce NEET result 2017 on Tuesday.

Over 10 lakh students appeared for the exam in Hindi or English, while around 1.50 lakh students chose from eight vernacular languages - Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, Assamese, Gujarati, Oriya and Kannada.

The NEET 2017 results were held up by an order of the Madras High Court after a batch pleas were filed alleging that uniform question papers were not given and there was a big difference between the English and Tamil papers. 

The Supreme Court had on June 12 permitted the CBSE to declare the results of NEET 2017.

The NEET 2017 result declaration will clear the way for admissions for 56,000 MBBS/BDS seats in the country.

Here's how you can check NEET 2017 result

1. Visit cbseneet.nic.in or cbseresults.nic.in

2. Click on 'NEET results 2017'

3. Enter your details like roll number and other required information

4. Click on 'Submit'

5. Download the result and keep a print out for future reference.

The NEET examination for admission to undergraduate medical and dental courses was held on May 7.
