NDA helped government win trust vote: Maya
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati once again accused the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) of playing a dubious role in preventing the fall of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA)
LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati once again accused the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) of playing a dubious role in preventing the fall of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government during Tuesday's trust vote in parliament.
Addressing a press conference here Thursday evening, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief said: "Somehow or the other, it is the NDA that helped save the government, which was sure to fall."
Mayawati said the Congress-led UPA had made a mockery of parliamentary democracy in the way it "engineered" defections to win the trust vote on the issue of the India-US nuclear deal.
