A Nigerian national was today arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) here after he was allegedly found to be in possession of 200 grams of cocaine worth Rs 1 crore.

Based on an intelligence input, the sleuths of NCB Hyderabad sub-zone intercepted Lary Onyekachi, at Secunderabad railway station yesterday while he was travelling in Bengaluru Rajdhani Express train and seized 200 grams of cocaine worth Rs 1 crore in the international market from his possession.

"He was arrested under NDPS Act today and sent to judicial custody," an NCB release said today.

According to the NCB, the Nigerian had collected the drug from Delhi and was supposed to handover the contraband to his Nigerian friend in Bengaluru.

"He was travelling with a forged copy of his passport and his visa had expired in 2012. He had come on a tourist visa to India in 2012 and never went back," it said.

The Nigerian national was staying in Chander Vihar in New Delhi, the release added.
