After being removed from AAP National Executive on Saturday in a National Council meeting, the founding members Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav have claimed that Arvind Kejriwal orchestrated their removal

Amid chaos and high drama, a resolution to remove the two dissident leaders along with their supporters Anand Kumar and Ajit Jha from the powerful panel was passed at the National Council with 247 members supporting it. The duo had slammed the decision as "murder of democracy".

Yadav and Bhushan have claimed that the entire meeting was staged and bouncers were used to quash any dissent to faciliate the removal. They brought up the issue of the denial of entry to the Lokpal Admiral Ramdas. They also said that the may legitimate National Council members were not allowed entry in the meeting while goons brought in as AAP members.

Yogendra Yadav said, "We were disturbed since last evening wondering why was the Admiral Ramdas not invited for the NC meeting. He called today's conduct of the party worse than their political opponents. Alleging that Kejriwal scripted meeting, he said, " Kejriwal spoke for an hour at the meeting levelling just allegations against me and Prashant Bhushan."

He also said that the Kejriwal 'stood like a statue' when he and his supporters were allegedly roughed up. Delhi CM incited goons. “Kejriwal was provoking goons. The goons raised slogans and charged towards us.”

He claimed that top AAP leaders were beaten up. "Ramzan Chaudhury was hit by professional boxers inside the meeting when he said that we should be heard. Mayank Gandhi dragged out by boxers who kicked him," Yadav said.

He said that later Kejriwal left saying he had another meeting to attend and Gopal Rai took charge after him. Yadav said his objections to all allegations was laughed at by Rai.

Yadav and Bhushan claimed that all the voters at the meeting were not legitimate AAP members. "More than half the people at the meeting were non-voting members."

Bhushan said that he had written to on Friday to hold the National Council meeting in a fair manner. He said that the party did not heed to their request to use secret ballot and videograph the meeting. He also lamented the absence of Lokpal in the meeting, especially on ensuring the voting process happens correctly, "They should have taken the lokpals help for the meeting to ensure only legitimate AAP NC members were present.

"Every MLA was asked to bring their supporters along for today's meeting."

He referred to the Kejriwal's sting operation where he is allegedly heard saying that the if dissenters were in any other party they would have been kicked out. "AAP did not kick us but the hooliganism that occured today shows AAP is just like any other party."

He said that Kejriwal had dictatorial tendencies which needed to be curbed. "Arvind Kejriwal has dictatorial tendencies and he needs to curb them. I failed to curb them."

Yogendra Yadav requested to people not to judge AAP by today's events.

Yadav and Bhushan alleged that the sting operation on Kejriwal was staged.
