Senior CPI leader D Raja on Thursday said national parties should know how to deal with regional parties as they play an important role at the national level."What has come out in these elections (recently concluded Assembly elections) is that people have not given support to any major national party, be it Congress or BJP."The regional parties have become a reality in this country. National parties should know how to deal with regional parties as they play important role at the national level," Raja said addressing Hero Mindmine Summit here.He admitted that Left parties did not do well in any of the five states which went to the polls this year."The lesson we have learnt is that Left parties continue to be weak in the Hindi regions. We will have to expand our base and this is a lesson well learnt," he said.
