National Conference working president Omar Abdullah today expressed grief over the death of a 19-year-old youth killed in firing by security forces in Palhalan in Baramulla district of north Kashmir and demanded a probe into the incident.

"A probe should investigate the circumstances leading to this tragic incident and the truth should be revealed without any delay," Omar said in a statement.

The former chief minister extended his condolences to the family of Farooq Ahmed Bhat and prayed for the speedy recovery of those who have sustained injuries in this incident.

Bhat was killed when security forces fired at demonstrators who were protesting on the second anniversary of Afzal Guru's hanging in Palhalan area of north Kashmir Baramulla district.
