The girl told the police that  while she was going to school she was abducted by some unknown people in a van along with three other girls. She also went on to add that the abductors physically assaulted her and showed cut marks on her hand.

The police suspected her story and admitted her to Civil hospital.

Investigating the story, they found out that the girl was from Kothrud in Pune and her parents had filed a missing complaint. On speaking to her parents it was learnt that the girl had eloped from her house along with a friend, and the two girls had come to Nashik.

However, to fool her parents, she approached the police station with a false story.

The girl was handed over to her parents on Saturday.

Nashik police informed DNA that her statement would be recorded at Kothrud police station.
