The elders, on the other hand, have decided to vote for Rao Dharampal, local candidate from Congress. However, with hopes of seeing Narendra Modi as the prime minister of the country, most of the youth in the village will be voting for an outsider—Rao Inderjeet, a former Congress rebel who has now joined the BJP.

While not too excited about the candidate, they clearly see Narendra Modi has a symbol of hope.

This has been the case for various families in the villages both in and around Sarhaul village in old Gurgaon where members of the family have been voting for different political parties.
