"Ma Kamakhya's blessings is not only for the people of Assam, but for the entire country. Her blessings will help us in fulfilling the dreams and aspirations of the people," Modi said at the beginning of his address at a rally here.

Mentioning that he had never before seen such a crowd in Assam, he said, "Earlier, as a RSS worker I had worked in almost all districts of Assam and organised many events but never did I see such a crowd before."

"Yeh to abhi aandhi hai, election aate aate yeh Tsunami me badal jayegi aur Congress ka namo nishan mita degi (this is just a storm now but by the time elections come, it will turn into a tsunami and wipe out the existence of the Congress)," he said.

In Assam too, he said the day was not far when Congress would be wiped out. "To realise this, we must begin with the forthcoming elections."

He also paid tributes to local freedom fighters Bir Tikendrajit Singh, Ulhas Dutta and Arun Chand.

The Gujarat Chief Minister addressed his second rally within a fortnight in Assam after the first in Guwahati on February 8.
