"The bodies were found in a naked state. While the man was around 30 years old, the woman was around 25-30 years old. The young woman was also wearing a set of bangles which are commonly worn by newly wed women," the SP said.

Asked if it could be a case of honour killing, he said that nothing can be ruled out at this stage.

"We have constituted five police teams that will work on the case and hunt for further clues. We are hopeful about solving the case at the earliest," he said.

The bodies were found close to the National Highway-1 which borders Delhi on one side and UP on the other. The bodies have been sent for postmortem.
