The Nadda Habba Dasara in Mysore will be celebrated between October 14 and 23 during Navratri. However, the festivities will be low-key this year as the state government wants to keep it simple due to the farmers’ deaths in the state.

A report in Deccan Herald, states that all cultural programmes will be restricted to the Mysore Palace and there will only be two cultural programmes a day. The Jamboo Savari (elephant savari) which is part of the grand finale of the festivities will be there this year too. 

There will also be a Hungarian folk dance in the cultural programme at the Palace. The troupe from Hungary will be performing on October 21 for free said the report. The show by the Hungarian troupe is said to be one of the highly anticipated ones this Dasara.

On the inaugural day of Navratri, the ‘Rajya Sangeeth Vidwan’ award will also be presented, adds the report.
