Following the Pulwama terror attack on Thursday, several Kashmiris in various parts of the country are allegedly being harassed.
According to media reports, several Kashmiris living outside the state of Jammu and Kashmir have claimed that they were harassed and attacked after the terrorist attack in Pulwama district in which 40 CRPF men were killed.
Some Kashmiri youths studying in the Uttarakhand capital have also alleged that they were harassed and have been asked by their landlords to vacate accommodations fearing attacks on their properties in the aftermath of the deadliest attack.
Police, however, has asserted that the security has been enhanced in the national capital and elsewhere.
They have also said that they would ensure the safety of all citizens.
A Srinagar-based CRPF helpline 'Madadgaar' too has asked Kashmiris based out of the state to approach them in case they face any harassment.
The 'Madadgaar' helpline posted a tweet in this context stating that Kashmiri students and the general public who are presently out of the state can contact it over the Twitter handle '@CRPFmadadgaar'.
Not just officials, but even netizens are extending help to their fellow brothers. Several people on Twitter have shown support and extended by saying that the 'door to their home is always open'. Many have even shared their address on social media.
Here's what the Netizens have tweeted:
If any kashmiri students want shelter in navi Mumbai, panvel, then DM me, my doors always open for you#KashmiriStudents#SOSKashmir

To all Kashmiris especially students who are putting up in any state of India, avoid unnecessary travel from your respective place (hostels), if possible stay in groups, don't go to market unless it is urgent, don't indulge in any discussion regarding Kashmir. #Kashmiristudents

So far, no Kashmiri in Delhi & other cities has felt the need to shift out of their homes.
However, we must appreciate the warm gestures of everyone who has put her/his house open for Kashmiris.
Most people are out there to protect Kashmiris - this is real India!
The way #Kashmiri students are being beaten up & kicked out of the hostels and rented apartments is very scary. Have been talking to students since yesterday. In any case, you need some help. Please connect. #kashmiristudents

A senior official has said that the officials will undertake immediate steps in case the helpline receives a distress call by a Kashmir-based person and will alert and depute the officials from its nearest located base to address the issue.
