To curb the occurrence of these incidents, the district magistrate of Muzaffarnagar has directed police to install 'Majnu pinjaras' at the areas most prone, especially near girls' schools and colleges, reports an English daily.

These cages will be kept in public places so that people will see the culprits and be ashamed of what they have done.

Police will form four teams to kick start the cage drive.

DM Nikhil Chand Shukla told the daily that keeping culprits in the cage may be illegal, but they want eve-teasers to be exposed to the public. Muzaffarnagar police will strictly look into all the complaints received about eve-teasing.
