Muslim Mahasabha burns effigies of Bal, Raj Thackeray in Jaipur
Around 100 activists also burnt their effigies at Collectorate circle. Meanwhile, PCC's women front termed the stand of the Thackerays as 'highly condemnable'.
The Rajasthan unit of Muslim Mahasabha today burnt effigies of Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray and MNS chief Raj Thackeray to protest their controversial 'Mumbai for Maharashtrians' stand.Accusing Raj Thackeray of making anti-national speech, secretary of Muslim Mahasabha (state) Nasir Jahid said, "In India, citizens have the right to go and live anywhere. But they (Thackerays) are challenging the constitution by making anti-integrity statements."The activists also submitted a representative to the district collector -- addressed to the Prime Minister -- demanding action against Raj Thackeray in the interest of national integrity.Around 100 activists also burnt their effigies at Collectorate circle. Meanwhile, PCC's women front termed the stand of the Thackerays as "highly condemnable". "Every citizen is first an Indian. It does not matter he or she hails from which state," vice president of Pradesh Mahila Congress Kishori Rani Sharma told reporters.
