Mumbai police on Friday arrested a Madrasa teacher for allegedly kidnapping and sexually assaulting a eight-year-old boy.

The teacher took the boy to his room and attempted to sodomise him on Saturday, but the boy removed his pen and stabbed the teacher repeatedly and escaped from the place.

According to police, the incident took place when the class four student of Deedee's Madrasa was returning home from tuition when the Madrasa teacher asked the boy to join him. When the boy denied, the teacher forcefully took him to his house and started assaulting him.  However, the boy saved himself and escaped. Sewree police have arrested the teacher. 

"After fleeing from the spot, the boy reached his tuition and informed the tuition teacher about the incident. The teacher along with other people went to the house of Madarsa teacher and caught him. They handed him over to us. We have booked him under the relevant sections of POCSO and Indian Penal Code," said Sudhir Madhe, Senior Police Inspector of Sewree police station.
