The floors that were gutted held several important I-T files and records, raising the question of sabotage.
The blaze started at 4.50 pm and a level 4 was declared at 7.20 pm. Five people trapped on the top floor were rescued by firemen at around 5.30 pm and one person trapped on the second floor was rescued at around 6 pm. A fireman was injured. At the time of this report going to print, the fire-fighting operations were still underway.
