"We have registered a case against the accused based on the complaint of the player. She filed the complaint last evening," Harda Kotwali Police Station in-charge Pankaj Tyagi said today.

In her complaint, the six-time national player said that she was repeatedly being harassed by the youth on her way to stadium for practice.

The girl, a Class IX student, had earlier informed her family members and co-players about it, who took her to the police station and lodged a formal complaint.

Tyagi said that search has been launched for the accused after the registration of the case.

The complaint comes within a week of suicide by a school girl due to harassment in Harda.

On February 2, a school girl had committed suicide due to the alleged police inaction on her complaint regarding eve-teasing. The police had to impose prohibitory orders under section 144 following the suicide by the girl.
