Madhya Pradesh cabinet has given its nod to the proposal of land allotment for the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) for developing its centre in Morena district.

"State cabinet has approved the proposal to allot 334-hectare land to DRDO in Morena district," Finance Minister Jayant Malaiya told reporters after attending the cabinet meeting.

He said the land worth Rs 46.81 crore will be allotted to DRDO at a lease rent of Rs one lakh per year.

The proposed DRDO centre would come up at Badhareta village under Kailaras tehsil, about 365 kms from state capital.
