Move over Agra, now Bengaluru has a Taj Mahal!
The artists has stated that he spend many days studying original Taj Mahal in order to recreate it.
One of the seven wonders of the world, the Taj Mahal has now come to Bengaluru. Malaysian artist Sekar decided to recreate the beautiful monument in the city and it now sits majestically on Bannerghatta Road. The Bengaluru Taj Mahal is 40 feet tall and 70 feet by 70 feet in width. It covers an area of 200 feet by 200 feet.
The large replica is made of materials like wood, fibre plywood, silver wood and plaster of Paris. Sekar, 56, has built the Taj Mahal at a cost of nearly Rs 1 crore, according to a report in Deccan Herald.
The artists has stated that he spend many days studying original Taj Mahal in order to recreate it. Nearly 150 people worked on this structure in Bengaluru which took two months to build.
This is not the first time Sekar has worked on recreating a monument. He has also worked on the red Fort and White House among others.
The Bengaluru Taj Mahal will be on display till November 1 and can be viewed between 4pm to 9pm. It is located near Jayadeva Hospital on Bannerghatta Road.
