Chief minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new CCTV camera system that has been installed at various locations in the city, on Sunday. The system has been installed for the internal security and smooth running of the traffic in the city.

Modi addressed the residents and asked them to work in public private partnership model as there is dire need of surveillance in the society. Modi also took the opportunity to comment on the opposition party and said that no visit can hamper his strength in the state.

Modi was in Vadodara to attend a series of gatherings in the city. He first inaugurated a coin museum near Ajwa. He also unveiled the statue of Jaiprakash Narayan at a ceremony at the Race Course circle and later he inaugurated the CCTV camera system.
Recognising the efforts of the administration and the Vadodara Municipal Corporation officials, apart from that of police, he facilitated with them the term ‘Team Vadodara’.

Addressing citizens of Vadodara, he said that, he was happy to see that Vadodara as a city has itself broken its stagnancy. “Every shop or mall should at least install a CCTV camera outside the shop facing the road. If that is done, then there is a surveillance eye continuously on the road, which will create fear among the criminal.”

Modi here again took the opportunity to take a dig at the Nehru-Gandhi family. “American elected Barack Obama as president as they knew that Bush and Clinton family cannot bring the desired change. This created a revolution and Obama was elected,”  Modi said.

Targeting the confidence that the Congress gathered from Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Gujarat, he said: “Fish in the aquarium is just for viewing, we are the fish of the ocean which makes a lot of difference.”
