Mizoram home minister R Lalzirliana today termed the police officers as the backbone of the state and urged them to refrain from corruption, drunkenness and other social ills so that they can perform their duties to prevent such ills.        Addressing the general conference of the Mizoram Police Service Association (MPSA) here, Lalzirliana asked the police officers not to be greedy as in can lead to corruption.       The conference, chaired by the MPSA president John Neihlaia, was also addressed by parliamentary secretary for home Lalrinmawia Ralte and DGP Lalrokhuma Pachuau.
