Telangana Chief Minister KCR came to meet his counterpart in West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee at Nabanna, the state secretariat on Monday. After the meeting, while Mamata didn’t interact with mediapersons, KCR said meetings to form an anti-BJP alliance were on and that soon they will give good news to the people.

“After the results of the elections of five states, political dialogues have started. Yesterday, I had a meeting with Odisha chief minister and today I had a meeting with our Didi. We are trying to settle out issues of mutual interest and national politics. Very soon we will reach at a conclusion and give you some news,” he told reporters.

Fresh from victory in his home state Telangana, Rao is meeting prominent leaders to provide an alternative to the Congress and the BJP ahead of the 2019 election.From eastern metropolis as per an earlier official release he would go to Delhi to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and laterto BSP chief Mayawati and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav among others.

"Discussions with Didi is always there. When two political leaders meet, they definitely discuss matters of mutual interest and matters of national interest.

"We had a very pleasant discussion. We will continue our discussion. There is a dialogue which I had started yesterday. This is a unification of forces across the nation", Rao told reporters.

"Our dialogue will continue. Very shortly we will come out with a concrete plan," he said recollecting about getting congratulatory call from Banerjee after he was elected as the Telangana Chief Minister for the second time.

Asked whether he was still aiming at a non-BJP and non-Congress political platform, he said, “It is still KCR’s mission. But wait for some time. Let dialogues continue and soon we will give you some news.”

KCR had been proactive in building the anti-BJP platform after his party Telangana Rashtra Samithi was voted to power for the second time. After today’s meeting he is likely to meet BSP supremo Mayawati and Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav in Delhi.
