Minor kidnapped, gang-raped in Kathua; one held

Police arrested a person allegedly involved in the kidnapping and gang rape of a minor girl in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.

After registering a case, police arrested an accused, they said.

Parents of the girl had lodged a complaint in Rajbagh Police Station yesterday that two youths had forcibly kidnapped their daughter on January 9 and taken her to some unknown place.

She was kept there and allegedly sexually abused by them for a couple of days, they said, adding the other accused is absconding.
