Minor girl gang-raped in Uttar Pradesh, all five accused arrested

A minor girl was allegedly gangraped by five men in Jogia area in Siddharthnagar following which all the accused have been arrested, police said.

The accused identified as Jitendra, Sunil, Rohit, Raksharam and Vishwakarma were arrested yesterday after an FIR was registered following a complaint by the girl's mother saying the girl was gangraped, SP Keshav Kumar Chowdhury said.

The incident took place on June 11 when the 15-year-old girl had gone to relieve herself and the five men then caught and raped her, he said.

All five accused have been arrested and further investigation is on, he said.
