Stoking a controversy, Yadav had claimed that no Muzaffarnagar riot victim was left in the relief camps and only political activists of Congress and BJP were staying there as part of a conspiracy to tarnish the image of his party's government in Uttar Pradesh.

State Taameer-e-Millat Secretary, Masood Ahmad Khan in a statement said here today, "The words used by Singh not only dishonoured the riot victims staying in camps, but humiliated everybody."

"It showed the mentality of the party's leaders," Khan said.

He alleged that the UP government was not sincere towards solving problems faced by the riot victims.
