THRISSUR: A mild tremor was experienced in parts of Thrissur, Palakkad and Malappuram districts in central Kerala in the wee hours on Wednesday.

Meteorological sources confirmed that the tremor was recorded on the seismograph but its intensity and epicentre could be determined only after detailed analysis of the data.

No damage to buildings or injury to people was reported from anywhere.

People in places like Desamangalam, Varavur, Vadakanchery in Thrissur district and Thirunavya in Malappuram and Pattambi in Palakkad telephoned police stations claiming that they felt a kind of vibration and gentle shaking for about four seconds, police said.
