When BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi called an online supporter an 'idiot'
Meenakshi Lekhi termed online supporters 'idiots' after they objected to her sharing the stage with Barkha Dutt.
If there’s one journalist that online BJP supporters hate, it’s NDTV’s consulting editor Barkha Dutt. The NDTV journalist recently had a huge fight with industry compatriot and former colleague Arnab Goswami over his attack on ‘pseudo-secular and pro-Pakistan’ journalists. Barkha had slammed Arnab for demanding action against fellow journalists and the one-way war of words continued on Twitter for a while.Recently, BJP MP Lekhi shared the stage with Barkha Dutt at an event in Defence Colony in New Delhi. Lekhi had written on Twitter, “Defence colony gets its Wall of Honour, Proud moment for the residents and the country.”
However, a lot of online BJP supporters weren’t happy and pointed it out and things got a bit out of hand when Meenakshi Lekhi called them ‘idiots’. Barkha Dutt also hit out at the supporters.
