Remember the Rohtak sisters, the girls who became heroes for ‘thrashing’ their ‘molesters’. A Rohtak court on Friday discharged all three boys accused of molesting the sisters on board a bus in November 2014, reported The Tribune. The court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Harish Goyal discharged Kuldeep, Mohit and Deepak were discharged as no charges were filed against them. Their counsel said that said they were considering filing a defamation suit against the girls. Meanwhile, the girls’ lawyer said they would challenge the judgement in the High Court.

Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Harish Goyal was quoted saying by TOI, "There is no material which can be used to frame charges against the accused...."

The two sisters had thrashed three boys aboard a bus and accused them of molestation, following which they had lodged a police complaint and got the boys arrested. The trio however maintained that they didn’t molest the girls. The boys had said that the real altercation was about getting a seat vacated for an elderly woman. A SIT charge-sheet indicated that none of the 40 witnesses supported the girls’ version and boys came clean on the polygraph test as well.

Earlier, people from the village of Thana Khurd had claimed that the two sisters have been involved in such incidences before and were frauds. What gives this story another unexpected turn is a statement by one of the villagers: "The girls have done a similar blackmail case on boys from a nearby village Sisana and taken money from them and settled the case. The case details are available in the police station. We have heard the compromise reached 35- 40 thousand as the boy's family feared a police case."

Another man had said:  "The boys are being framed without real cause. Why would the girl constantly look back at the camera? She did that because she was confirming that the video was being made." Another eye witness added, "The boy is seen saving himself from being kicked by the girls while the third boy who has been named (by these girls) did not even board the bus from Rohtak. He boarded from Bahlot which contradicts girls statement."
