India’s ambitious Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) has been officially cleared for launch by a national committee of expert. The expert committee comprising former Isro chairman UR Rao and eminent aerospace scientist Roddam Narasimha has cleared the launch following a two-day meeting held here.
The launch window, however, is postponed by a week as it is scheduled between October 28 and November 19. Earlier, Isro had planned a launch window of October 21 to November 19. This means that Isro would be exploring the first available date in the window (October 28) to launch the 450 crore mission.
