Married woman commits suicide, paramour booked

A married woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself, police said today.Sheela (26), a resident of Guru Harkrishan Nagar, hanged herself with a 'dupatta' tied to a girder of the ceiling of her room.City SHO Amrik Singh Chahal said that on the complaint of Sheela's husband -- Suraj, a case under section 306 (abatement to suicide) was registered against Bunty, who had an alleged illicit relation with Sheela.Suraj told police that he had gone to market last evening and when he returned home, he found that Sheela was dead.Suraj said that the last phone call received by his wife was from Bunty."Even the cell phone and the SIM card was gifted to Sheela by Bunty," added Suraj.Meanwhile, her post-mortem was conducted today. However, Bunty was yet to be arrested, police added.
