According to a report in TOI, local units of banned Communist Party of India (Maoist) distributed pamphlets that read that Akshay and Saina should not have supported the families of CRPF jawans.

DNA reached out to Akshay Kumar for a comment. No response has been received yet.

Akshay Kumar had given Rs 9 lakh each to the dependents of the killed jawans. Saina Nehwal followed the suit by donating Rs 50,000 each to families of 12 jawans killed in the Naxal attack in Sukma in March.

The pamphlets distributed in Bastar, Chattisgarh ask celebrities to support and stand by the tribals and raise voice against the violation of the human rights instead of supporting CRPF jawans and their families.
