'Mann Ki Baat': PM Modi to address nation in 79th edition of monthly radio programme today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation through his monthly radio programme "Mann Ki Baat" on Sunday (July 25) at 11 am. The Prime Minister will share his thoughts with the people in the country and abroad on All India Radio. It will be the 79th episode of the monthly radio programme. It will be broadcast on the entire network of AIR and Doordarshan and also on AIR News website www.newsonair.com and newsonair Mobile App.

It will also be streamed live on the YouTube channels of AIR, DD News, PMO and Information and Broadcasting Ministry.

AIR will broadcast the programme in regional languages immediately after the Hindi broadcast. The regional language versions will be repeated at 8 pm.

In last month's Mann Ki Baat episode, the PM urged people to overcome vaccine hesitancy and said, “I have taken both doses. My Mother is almost hundred years old, she has taken both vaccines too. Please do not believe any negative rumours relating to vaccines.”

"The battle we the countrymen are fighting against corona is continuing…but in this fight, together, we've achieved many an extraordinary milestone! Just a few days ago, our country accomplished an unprecedented feat. We should all get vaccinated and encourage others to overcome the hesitancy," said PM Modi.

In an apparent effoert to end the hesitation of the people to get jabbed, the prime minister spoke to people from Dulariya village, Betul district, Madhya Pradesh and said, "I want to tell villagers to get rid of vaccine fear. There are many villages in India that are 100% vaccinated."

The prime minister also thanked the frontline warriors for working tirelessly in order to combat the coronavirus pandemic. PM Modi paid tributes to those who lost their life due to the virus and said people should wear mask, practice social distancing and follow Covid-appropriate behaviour in order to pay their tribute to the fallen COVID warriors.
