Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Saturday paid a visit to former BJP leader Jaswant Singh, who is in critical care at the Army Research and Referral Hospital after sustaining serious injuries to his head from a fall at his residence.

Jawant Singh was put on the life support system yesterday and examination at the hospital showed him to be in coma, with signs of 'raised intracranial tension and a haematoma scalp'.

Besides Manmohan Singh, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi also visited the ex-BJP leader.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and BJP leaders Shahnawaz Hussain and Rajiv Pratap Rudy had also visited the hospital to inquire about the ailing former BJP leader.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had spoken to the family of the former union minister on Friday morning. Another BJP veteran, L K Advani had also visited him on Friday.
