Prime Minister Manmohan Singh reached this Myanmar capital Monday for the seven-nation BIMSTEC meet on regional ties. This could be his last foreign visit as head of government.

Apart from engaging with his host, Myanmar President U. Thein Sein, Manmohan Singh is also set to parley with his Bangladeshi counterpart Sheikh Hasina, Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa and the new Nepalese premier Sushil Koirala.

Besides these countries, Thailand and Bhutan are also part of BIMSTEC or the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation.

The prime minister's delegation here includes Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid, National Security Advisor Shiv Shankar Menon and Foreign Secretary Sujatha Singh, besides other officials.

The prime minister leaves back for New Delhi Tuesday evening.
