The extreme eastern and western connection is all set to improve, thanks to the Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS).

From April 27, the extended route of the BRTS from Pushpkunj Circle to Maninagar Railway station and Danilimda crossroads to Narol crossroads will become operational.

The Ahmedabad Janmarg Limited (AJL) officials said that the move will improve western Ahmedabad's connectivity to Maninagar railway station. Also, people working in Narol will get better connectivity to the western part and passengers who commute on the Western Railway, will also get better connectivity to far city areas on the BRTS corridor.

 The AJL officials say that with this, around 26 kms of BRTS route will have 5 kms extension to Maninagar rly station and 3 kms to Narol. Also, 36 buses will be used in the BRTS including four buses on standby for emergencies. 

Bus fare from RTO to Maninagar railway station has been fixed at Rs 15 and from RTO to Narol it will be Rs 14. Currently, around 25,000 passengers use the BRTS daily and its total income per day is Rs 1.15 lakh.
