The Kardhani police on Wednesday arrested a man wanted in over a dozen cases registered against him at various police stations of the Jaipur police Commissionerate.

Importantly, he was also involved in Rizwan murder case. The resident of Chandwaji town was murdered and his body thrown at the Chandwaji bus stand. According to the police, the man has been identified as Mukesh Goswami, a native of Bhojan village of Rajgarh tehsil of Churu.

“The man is main accused in Rizwan murder case. He was arrested from Niwaru Link Road area. Various cases of attempt to murder, kidnapping and possession of illegal weapons etc have been registered against him at Kardhani, Jhotwara and Vidydhar Nagar police stations of the city,” said Dr Ravi, DCP (west).

He added, “Further investigations are underway. With his arrest, we expect to crack other cases also.”

Auto-lifter nabbed, pistol recovered: The Jawahar Circle police on Wednesday arrested an auto-lifter wanted for stealing a jeep from Saraswati Nagar. The accused has been identified as Dharmraj Meena. The police recovered a country-made pistol from him. “We got a tip-off that Meena was roaming in the area probably to conduct a crime. A team of police officials was sent to the area.

They nabbed him from Indira Gandi Nagar,” a senior police official said.
