Police have rescued a 17-year-old girl from the clutches of touts, who had struck a deal with her brother to sell her off to two persons for Rs20,000 at Jarcha village in Gautam Budh Nagar area in Ghaziabad.The teenager, hailing from Guwahati in Assam, was bought here by her brother Raju Thakur on the pretext of arranging her marriage, SSP Raghubir Lal said today. Thakur living at Shyam Park in Loni, was in dire need of money and brought his sister for her marriage and decided tosell her off, the officer said. With the help of two touts, he struck a deal last night with two persons, who had come to his house to buy the girl for Rs20,000. The payment was to be made today.On a tip-off, police raided the house and arrested Rajpal and Dharam Pal of Gautam Budh Nagar, two touts Babu Khan and Alam Ali of Loni and Thakur. They were produced before a court, which sent them in police custody.
