A 60-year-old man was found stabbed to death allegedly by a group of unidentified persons after he was abducted in a car near Kuthuparamba in the district today.

Two persons from Mananthawadi in adjoining Wayanad district have been taken into custody in connection with the murder, police said.

The body of K Raju, a CPI-M sympathiser, with deep cuts on the neck, was found in a bush, police said. He was abducted by a four-member group of unidentified men in a car at Thrikadaripoyil and later his body was found dumped at the nearby Pothukuzhi locality, police, quoting eye-witnesses, said.
  
Police recovered knives believed to have used to commit the crime from the car.
  
Police said Raju was an accused in the murder of two Congress workers in the 1970s and he was acquitted by the court.The man had been facing threat to his life since then, police said.
