A 23-year-old man's refusal to give Rs 20 to a minor after losing a game of cards proved costly for him as the annoyed boy allegedly stabbed the man to death in Nandnagri area of the national capital, police said today.

The incident took place yesterday in Nandnagri area of north-east Delhi and the minor was arrested, a senior police official said.

According to police, the victim Muhrram and the minor were playing card near a cemetery in the area and the boy won Rs 20 in the game but the victim refused to pay  which resulted in a scuffle.

The duel turned ugly as the juvenile delinquent pulled out a knife and stabbed Muhrram several times before fleeing from the spot.

The victim, who was rushed to nearby government hospital, later succumbed to his injuries.
