Man objects to public urination, gets beaten to death in New Delhi

In a shocking incident of brutality, a Delhi man lost his life after objecting to two men urinating in public. Ravinder Kumar, a parking attendant at an e-rickshaw stand in northwest Delhi was beaten by a group of men on Saturday. The 34-year-old had not sustained any major injury but later in the night fell unconscious and was declared dead when he was rushed to the hospital. 

Ravinder Kumar had objected to two men peeing in the public near his e-rickshaw.   Around 8 PM, the duo, along with 10 others, returned to the metro station and attacked Ravinder.

Another e-rickshaw driver, who tried to intervene, was also assaulted.Ravinder was rushed to a hospital where he died. Police sources said that images of the two men have been captured in CCTV cameras installed at the liquor shop and on the North Campus of Delhi University, where Kirori Mal College is located. 

It is suspected that the accused had come to Delhi to appear in a competitive examination. It has been learnt that they belong to Haryana and have been staying in Burari. Ravinder, who lived in a slum near the metro station, got married last year. His wife is seven months' pregnant. There has been a major conversation against public urination and open defecation since PM Modi launched his ambitious Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Movement).
