Mamata Banerjee takes a dig at CPI(M) for levelling black money charges

Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee today took a dig at the CPI(M) for levelling blackmoney charges against her party in the election and said "Thieves have louder voices"."They are raising such allegations against us. Someone (chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacherjee) is saying he will not touch sin money. Where does the question of corruption arise? The Trinamool Congress is not in power in West Bengal.It is the CPI(M) government which is in power for more than 34 years. Since there are accusations against the CPI(M) of indulging in corruption, to cover up they are taking recourse to such allegation against us", Banerjee said at an election rally at Bishnupur in Bankura district."Let them raise finger against us only after completion of ten years in office of the 'Ma, Mati and Manush' government, which I am confident will be formed in West Bengal", she said.She alleged that "CPI(M) has resorted to such falsehood against us as they are jittery at the prospect of being out of power after 34 years. Their leaders have been ministers for more than 34 years and they cannot think of being out of power"."Bengal no more needs a corrupt government", Banerjee said."Situation has come to such a pass that in West Bengal out of 100 days work under MGNREGA people in the Left-ruled state are getting 22 days work", she said.The CPI(M) has been alleging that TC was using blackmoney to fund its election campaign and had also complained to the Election Commission.The EC has, however, said the documents submitted to it by CPI(M) leader Gautam Deb was 'inconclusive' and the papers were unsigned.
