Mallika Sarabhai files petition to question IPS officer Sanjeev Bhatt
The Commission would be deciding on the plea after the deposition of Bhatt is over and has kept it for hearing on July 9.
Mallika Sarabhai has filed an application with the Nanavati Commission seeking permission to question IPS officer Sanjeev Bhatt in connection with his deposition about Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.Bhatt, during his questioning by Central Relief Committee advocate B M Mangukia on May 23, had alleged that Modi had tried to undermine proceedings in the petition filed by Sarabhai in the Supreme Court with regard to 2002 riots.After the revelation by Bhatt, Sarabhai recently filed an application seeking permission to cross question the IPS officer to elicit more information from him about his allegations against Modi.The Commission would be deciding on the plea after the deposition of Bhatt is over and has kept it for hearing on July 9.
