The pass percentage of Maharashtra has been 99.72% for ICSE class X and 98.8% for ISC class XII. This year too, girls have done better than boys.

The total number of candidates who appeared this year for ICSE class X were 15,120, 54.94% of whom were boys and 45.06% were girls. In ISC class XII, the total number of candidates were 2,162, of which 49.58% were boys and 50.42% were girls.
The ICSE class X pass percentage for girls was 99.77%, higher than that of the boys, the figure of whose stood at 99.69% this year.
In class XII exams too, girls outshone the boys, with a pass percentage of 99.27%, compared to the boys' 98.32%.
The total number of ICSE schools from where students appeared for their ICSE exams was 174, and ISC was 36.
This year, at 99.78%, the ICSE pass percentage for girls has marginally reduced; last year it was 99.77%. For the boys, however, the percentage increased to 99.69% this year, from last year's 99.52%.
The ICSE examination was conducted in 61 written subjects, of which 22 are Indian languages, 15 are foreign languages and 1 classical language.
The ISC examination was conducted in 52 written subjects, of which 15 are Indian languages and 8 are foreign languages and 2 are classical languages.
