As the Maharashtra state legislature session began this week, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis wrote a three-part series on what exactly a state budget is and how it should be read.

The series, written in Marathi, has been published on the state government’s news portal www.mahanews.gov.in and should come in handy to legislators across parties who are often found wanting in knowledge of parliamentary business.

Fadanvis an excellent orator and has won the Best Parliamentarian award for his performance in the Maharashtra legislature before.

You can read his series here.

Unfortunately, he has written it in Marathi and the government portal doesn’t seem to have an English translation yet.
