Maharashtra: Brothel owner confesses to killing husband and dumping body in septic tank 12 years ago
She is accused of also murdering two other people.
A woman, who was arrested for running a brothel in Maharashtra's Boisar district on Sunday has confessed to killing her husband twelve years back. She is also accused of murdering two other persons, according to police.
42-year-old Savita Bharati allegedly killed her husband and dumped his body in the septic tank of her house. She was produced before a local court and has been sent to two-day police custody.
According to reports, Savita killed her husband Sahdev way back in 2004, after being found in a compromising position with her lover Kamlesh. Savita and Kamlesh allegedly colluded and stoned Sahdev to death. In order to hush up the entire incident, the body was buried inside the septic tank and it was later sealed with cement. However, finally after more than a decade, long hands of law has managed to catch up with Savita.
