Fadnavis said this in a tweet in an apparent reference to Pawar's prime ministerial ambitions after his critcism of Narendra Modi.
Responding to Sharad Pawar's dig at Narendra Modi, state BJP chief Devendra Fadnavis said on Sunday: Some grooms seem tired of waiting (for their wedding to materialise).
On Saturday, Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar had at a function said that BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi was like "an eager groom." He also appealed to people to come together to keep communal forces at bay.
Fadnavis had said that some grooms have grown tired of wearing (their) baashing. Baashing is a sort of headgear worn when getting married. He said this through a tweet.
सात आठ खासदार असलेल्या पक्षाचे नेते गुडघ्याला बाशिंग बांधून थकले म्हणून आता पंतप्रधानपदी जनतेच्या मनातील नवरदेवावर टिका करीत आहेत.

Sharad Pawar's prime ministerial ambitions are reportedly well known in political circles. Around 2009, Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamana had also ridiculed Pawar for harbouring hopes of becoming prime minister.
